Liquid-fuel furnaces.-In a liquid fuel furnace in which the fuel in its passage to the burner passes through a vaporizing coil located in front of the burner, an open ended quarl 4 is arranged between the burner nozzle 3 and the vaporizing coil 1 which is adjustable relative to the inner end of the quarl. The quarl is housed in a casing 5 carrying the burner and provided with air sup. ply openings 6 controlled by a shutter plate 7. The diameter of the vaporizing coil is larger than the internal diameter of the quarl.
