[Class 135.] A valve chamber 23 through which liquid fuel can return from a burner 1, when cold, to the fuel pump suction pipe 26 at starting comprises inlet and outlet compartments 31, 32 and a valve 28 fitted with a depending tube 35 containing liquid which when heated expands into a bellows 36 and closes the valve when sufficiently heated. An adjustable screw 37 limits the displacement of the valve.
