735,964. Liquid fuel burners. HEURTEY & CIE. May 20, 1953 [May 26, 1952; April 8, 1953], No. 14110/53. Class 75 (1). [Also in Groups XII and XIII] In a liquid or other heater comprising a pneumatic-injection liquidfuel burner 4 located at one end of a tube 12 which separates the combustion products from the space to be heated, and a suction device 24 connected to the other end of the tube 12 to draw the combustion products through it, liquid fuel and compressed primary air are supplied to the burner through pipes 1, 6 and secondary air is drawn in through a duct 7 past helical strips 9. The fuel and secondary air supplies are controlled by manually-operated valves 26, 8, and by diaphragm-operated valves 27, 8a, the diaphragms of which are subjected through a pipe 32 to the flue-gas pressure at the outlet end of the pipe 12. A thermo-electric element 31 closes a valve 28 in the fuel pipe if the burner is extinguished. A damper 20 in an air inlet 19 on the inlet side of the fan controls the suction in the tube 12. The tube 12 may have internal longitudinal fins.
