Abstract

254,617. Roshothen, K. Feb. 2, 1926. Dispensing liquids, -In a device for forcing beer or other liquid from a receptacle through a pipe 5 to a delivery tap 6 by gas pressure, the pipe 5 is cleared of liquid between deliveries by pressure - equalizing means comprising a, pipe 3 connected with the gas pipe 3 and the tap end of the pipe 5. In the construction shown, the. pipe 8 opens into casings 14, 15 at the end of the pipe, 3 and tap 6 respectively, a valve 16 being fitted in the pipe 8. To prevent liquid being forced into the gaspipe 3 when the receptacle is full, a. check-valve 7 is fitted in the gas-pipe. In a modified construction, the tap 6 is constructed as a three-way valve, and the cheek-valve 7 may be replaced by a float which rises and closes the gas-pipe 3 when water enters the float chamber.
