April 11, 1924. lndicating action of delivery pipes; valves, arrangement of; valves, facilitating removal of.- In pumps for delivering measured quantities of petrol &c., the delivery pipe 1 has an upturned end containing a non-return valve 3, and an upwardly-extending by-pass 10 containing a sightglass 9, so that the level of the petrol in the delivery pipe may be visible to the purchaser. The lift of the valve is limited by a stop 6 carried by a removable cap 7 closing an opening in the casing 8 through which the valve may be reached.
