Regulating compression.- A liquid dispensing plant comprises a compressor 17 delivering air to a pressure vessel 13, containing water, from which a pipe leads to a liquid vessel 44 containing a float or piston 47; the float carries a rod 46 on which are collars 48, 49 co-acting with a switch-actuating member 50 having pins passing through a cross bar 45 on the vessel ; the switch controls the motor 21 driving the compressor. The compressed air passes from the storage vessel 13 through a filter 25 and a reducing valve 27 to a pipe 28, whence pipes 29 - - 31 lead to barrels 1 - - 3 supplying the beer &c. to be dispensed.
