Abstract

The liquid spraying arrangement, e.g. for applying bitument to a road surface, with a set of jets carried by a delivery pipe through which the liquid is forced by a constant delivery pump has the liquid connection at the centre of the pipe and the return flows from the two ends are connected to an intermediate chamber for eventual return to the supply tank. This chamber is divided into two compartments by a partition (12). In this partition is embedded a set of valves (21) equal in number to the jets and having the same capacity. each time a jet is closed when the number of jets is reduced, the corresponding valve is closed, thus interrupting the return flow through the intermediate chamber, so that pressure remains constant whatever the number of jets employed.
