Chambers 12a, 12b are alternately filled from a pressurised supply and emptied, on rotation of a valve 24. As chamber 12a fills liquid flows through valve 46, 67 into chamber 43. Air passing through a passage 51 controlled by needle valve 61 to the chamber 12b forcing the liquid therefrom, until the valve 67 closes the air passage 51. When the valve 24 is rotated the chamber 12a discharges, the valve 67 closes and air passes from the chamber 12b to the chamber 12a.
