Abstract

1,213,276. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. MILLS BROS. (SHEFFIELD) Ltd. 8 March, 1968 [12 Dec., 1966], No. 55516/66. Addition to 1,011,863. Heading B8N. The apparatus for dispensing liquid as claimed in the parent Specification is modified by mounting the valve assembly 12 on dispensing device having a free piston slidable on a hollow shaft 24 within a cylinder 16 thereby dividing the latter into two chambers 40, 42, the arrangement being such that in one position of the valve, liquid flows into the chamber 42 via an inlet 70, the bore of the shaft, and ports 32 thereby moving the piston so that the liquid in the chamber 40 is dispensed via ports 98, 94, 90, 88 and a nozzle 86; in a second position of the valve the chamber 42 is emptied while the chamber 40 is filled. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,056,256.
