1,181,205. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. K. GODWIN. 23 Jan., 1968, No. 3490/68. Heading B8N. An apparatus for dispensing a measured quantity of liquid, such as beer, comprises a piston 25 reciprocably mounted on a tube 9 in a cylinder 1, ports 13, 27, 23 being provided for feeding liquid to one or other side of the piston. A change-over valve 28 is provided which in one position allows pressurized liquid to flow via the ports 13, 23 so as to move the piston 25 to the left as shown and thereby force liquid on the other side of the piston through the port 27 to an outlet; when the position of the valve is changed over the piston moves in the opposite direction. Means are provided in the valve for preventing actuation thereof until the full measure has been delivered. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,083,723.
