273,950. Yarrow, H. E. Nov. 18, 1926. Water-tube boilers. - In a water-tube boiler having side walls formed of water tubes D extend. ing between the upper drum A and lower side drums C<1>, the tubes of each wall form a single bank at the lower end and a bank two or more row:-; in depth at the upper end. The tubes are arranged in sections E<1> - - E<5> displaced at their lower ends and connected to the lower portion of the upper drum in line with the main generating tubes. The upper and lower drums are also con nected by downcomers F. The tubes may extend vertically upwards for a distance from the side drums and then be bent so as to run parallel with the main generating tubes.
