Holders for sliding windows. - A window holder for use with window operating or balancing means, particularly of vehicles, consists of one or more eccentric or cam-shaped sleeves 5 mounted on a member rotated by the rising and falling window, such as the spindle of the spring balancing drum 3, and adapted to be engaged with the sliding panel by the frictional drag of the rotating spindle with or without gravity assistance. The sleeve may be rubber-covered and is manually released bv a handle 6. The rail, against which the glass abuts, is padded at 7. The spindle passes through slotted brackets in the frame into screw adjusted beaming blocks.
