Abstract

271,430. Aktiebolaget Akros, (Assignees of Lundgren, F. H.). May 19, 1926, [Convention date]. Transmission mechanism for speedometers, taximeters &c., on motor vehicles of the " Ford " type as described in Specification 23226/13, [Class 79 (v), Motor vehicles, Steering &c.], comprises a worm wheel 2 which is mounted upon the power transmission shaft 1 of the engine unit, and takes the place of the usual support for the clutch spring 6. The hub of the wheel has slots 3 which permit it to be passed over the usual transverse pin 4, and then turned so that locking notches 5 engage the pin. The wheel 2 gears with a worm wheel 13 on a flexible shaft 12, the support 10 being mounted on a detachable cover 8 for the gear casing.
