Abstract

237,215. Etablissements E. Jaeger. July 19, 1924, [Convention date]. Speed-indicator and odometer transmission mechanism.-The flexible shaft 9 is driven by a toothed ring 11 mounted on the hub of a steering wheel 1 of a motor vehicle, through pinions 6, 6<a>, the pinion 6 being mounted concentrically with the axis 3 of the pivot pin of the wheel. The cover 2<a> of the gear case is secured to the base 2 by screws 7 and has a flange 5 which forms a bearing for the pinion 6. The teeth of the gears are of involute form.
