Speed-indicator transmission mechanism.-For driving speed-indicators on motor-vehicles, the usual bevel or helical gears are dispensed with and are replaced by a flexible shaft E, one end of which is attached to the speedometer, and the lower end of which is surrounded by a spring F enclosed in a casing A with a right-angled bend and secured to a toothed pinion C mounted on ball bearings B and engaging a toothed wheel on the inside of the front wheel of the vehicle. The casing A is conveniently mounted on the steering-arm.
