Speed indicator transmission mechanism for bicycles &c. comprises a ball bearing, the outer race g of which is formed as a toothed wheel and meshes with a pinion k upon a spindle l. The inner race d is fixed and the outer race is driven by a flexible finger h which is bent so as to be engaged by the spokes b of the wheel. The spindle l is connected to the indicating instrument by bevel gearing m and a flexible shaft.
