Driving auxiliary parts, adapting vehicle driving-gear for. - A motor vehicle provided with a winding drum mounted on an extension of a driving- wheel hub and provided with a clutch disc mounted on the splined end of the axle and engageable at will with either the wheel hub or the drum, has the drum fitted with a cover plate provided with a protective flange and carrying spring-pressed plungers acting on the clutch. The axle 3 can be engaged with a toothed extension 7, Fig. 2, of the wheel hub 6 or with internal teeth 13, Fig. 1, on the winding drum 8 by means of a clutch disc 14 sliding on the splined end 16 of the axle and operated by a screw 25 which engages a screwed socket in the clutch disc. The screw is rotated by a nut 26, a spring 31 abutting against the splined axle end normally pressing the clutch disc outwards. By rotating the screw 25 the clutch teeth are made to abut against the hub teeth and engagement is effected by the pressure of spring-prssed plungers 29 acting on the clutch. By rotating the screw in the opposite direction, the clutch is disengaged from the hub and engaged with the winding drum, the spring-pressed plungers then projecting through the drum cover 19 which is fitted with a protecting annular flange 20.
