Abstract
285,658. Jackson, G. H. March 8, 1927. Driving auxiliary parts.-A winding drum shaft 25 carried by a motor vehicle such as a Fordson tractor is driven from the engine through a bevel gear on the engine shaft (not shown) which gears with a wheel 46 driving the drum shaft through gearing 43, 42 and a differential gear 35 controlled by two brakes 26, 30. When both brakes are free no drive is transmitted, the drum being driven only when the brake 26 is applied and the brake 30 is free. Both brakes are controlled by a single lever.
