965,257. Brake arrangements. BENFORD Ltd. Feb. 20, 1962 [April 21, 1961], No. 14466/61. Heading B7H. [Also in Division F2] A " dumper " vehicle, which is driven by an internal combustion engine, and which comprises a frame mounted on wheels and has a driving seat and a " skip " or container, is provided with disc type brakes. The brakes may comprise a disc 16 having a flange 18 attached to a hub 17 rigid with the vehicle driving shaft and the brakes comprise brake pads 22 operated hydraulically or by cams and cables. A drum type brake or a disc brake 31 may be secured to the transmission shaft 13 and operated through levers 32, 33, cable 36 and hand-lever 37. The disc brakes are associated with each driven wheel, which may be two or four.
