Abstract

A vehicle with hydraulic transmission has a hydraulic motor (1) driving the road wheel (12) through an epicyclic reduction gear(2). The motor shaft is connected to the gear box shaft (13) by a splined sleeve(3). This sleeve(3) has a flange for mounting the brake disc (4). A hydraulic brake (6) with brake pads (14) acts on the disc(4). Fitting the brake disc (4) on the sleeve (3), which is coupled directly to the motor, requires less braking torque than would be the case if the brake disc were attached directly to the road wheel (12).
