Abstract
269,853. Remondy, L. E. April 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Projectite fuzes. - The detonatorcontaining socket or gaine B, Fig. 1, of steel or steel cased with copper, is arranged as a liner within the fuzes body A of aluminium, aluminium alloy, or plastic material. The liner may be splayed into the body or interengaging shouders a, B' and a<1>, B<2> may be provided, and the liner held in place by a screwed member A<1>, or by a thimble carrying a sensitive percussion fuze E and secured by a shear wire. The detonator charge C may be loaded into a capsule C<1> held in place by a nick b in the gaine B, or may be loaded directly into the gaine and covered by a washer C' and plug C<3>, Fig. 2. A delayaction device F, such as is described in Specification 213,547, and a cone G may be inserted betweeen the percussion fuze E and the detonator C. Specifications 172,326, 224,847, and 238,186 are referred to.
