Abstract

265,784. Buch, M. A. Feb. 20, 1926. Vehicle - window opening and closing apparatus.-The window is operated by a lever 12 and a pair of parallel levers 10, 11, pivotally connected thereto and to a mounting bracket 4, one of the latter levers being connected to the crank 18 by a link 19. A balancing spring may be connected to the lever 10. The window is adapted to be completely raised or lowered bv one half turn of the crank handle. Stops 23 may be provided for the crank positions corresponding to the opened and closed window and these may be disposed to give a locking effect with the crank beyond the dead centre. A brake, such as a wedging device acting on a disc fixed to the handle spindle, may be provided to hold the window in any position. The mechanism may be assembled on the bracket 4 prior to mounting. A counterbalancing volute spring may be provided on the crank-spindle.
