Abstract

Surface carburettors. - In a surface carburettor the liquid is fed from a float feed chamber to an inlet B and rises through holes H in a plate P preferably covered with an absorbent pad and adjustable with respect to the height of the liquid. Air is drawn through an adjustable tube C and vaporizes the liquid which is swept up on to the absorbent surfaces G of the mixing-chamber A, the carburetted air passing by a passage T to the internal-combustion engine.
