Abstract

256,449. Heurung, A. Nov. 25, 1925. Optical systems.-In apparatus for producing kinematograph images, the objective system is used in conjunction with a system for turning the images through a right-angle about the optical axis, the turning system being one wherein all the reflections and refractions occur in one plane at 45‹ to the horizontal; the turning system may have its entrant and emergent faces perpendicular to the optical axis. and the turning system may be used in conjunction with a single objective for projecting black and white images. As shown in Fig. 1, a. prism f and lens e produce an image g of an object d, the image being turned through a right-angle, and twin lenses h produce two images i on the film. Figs. 5 and 6 show two forms of prism which may be used having their entrant and emergent faces at rightangles to the optical axes.
