Abstract

313,322. Beck, C. June 21, 1928. Optical systems. - In order to project an image of a near object on to a screen in such a manner that the image is reversed either right and left or up and down, but not reversed completely, an optical system is used consisting of two lenses a, c separated by a space containing a reflecting prism b. The rays between the lenses are approximately parallel and thus avoid astigmation in the image. The prism is arranged so that the direction of the axis is unchanged and may be so mounted as to be capable of rotation.
