Abstract
335,038. Cheshire, F. J. Aug. 30, 1929. Optical systems. - In two-colour kinematography the two colour component pictures are produced in the focal plane of the objective L by the use of a double image prism P. The prism is made of two thin prisms of calcite cemented together so that the crystallographic axis of one is at right angles to the crystallographic axis of the other, and both of these axes are at right angles to the optical axis of the objective L. The orientation of the pictures is determined by the rotation of the double image prism about the axis of the objective and the separation by the position of the prism along the axis of the objective. The prism is arranged between the lens and the focal plane F. Specification 204,636 is referred to.
