405,208. Photographic cameras. ZEISS IKON AKT.-GES., 72, Schandauerstrasse, Dresden, Germany. July 31, 1933, No. 21531. Convention date, Feb. 18. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i).] A camera is provided with a short-base telemeter having fixed end reflectors and a measuring deflecting device consisting of two refracting wedges which are rotatable in opposite directions. The deflecting device is preferably operated by the means for focusing the objective. As shown the telemeter consists of a rhombic prism 1 of which one end surface 2 is gilded so as to be semi-transparent and the other end surface 3 is completely reflecting. A prism 5 is cemented to the end 2 to facilitate direct vision. The deviating device consists of two similar wedges 6, 7 mounted on the carrier body 4 connected by gearing 9, 10, 11 so as to rotate equally in opposite directions. The wedge 7 is geared to the focusing objective mount 8 so as to be rotated thereby. In the case of a bellows camera the deviating device is arranged on the objective carrier. The mounting for the wedges may be rotatable or foldable so that it can be positioned in front of the front plate when the camera is closed.
