Abstract
251,000. Fuller's United Electric Works, Ltd., and Welch, A. P. Jan. 19, 1925. Electromagnets.-A coil for use in wireless apparatus &c. is given predetermined values of resistance and impedance for a particular frequency by winding coaxially upon a common core or bobbin, a coil of low resistance, such as copper, in series with a coil of high-resistance magnetic material, the latter coil forming part of the magnetic circuit. The high-resistance coil may be of soft iron and the whole winding may have a further core of magnetic material so that the iron forms part of the core and conductor. The windings may be inductively or non- inductively wound.
