Abstract
248,466. Automatic Telephone Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Hudd, A. E. Dec. 4, 1924. Electrolytic condensers.-In an electrolytic condenser of the type in which the electrodes are not acted on by the electrolyte, the condenser being used at voltages below the polarization voltage, the electrodes 4, 5 are of thin perforated sheet metal, separated by spacing insulators 9, and suspended from an insulating cover 3. The container 1 is made of a piece of sheet tubing with the bottom 2 welded on. The filling plug 11 carries a vent valve 8 of the type ordinarily employed in bicycle tyres. The electrodes may be of steel and the electrolyte an aqueous solution of potassium hydrate pure of alcohol. In a modification (not claimed) the container forms one electrode. Specification 227,887 is referred to.
