Condensers.-A spool type condenser e is wound on a metal tube a which is supported in a china or like cover plate b, the condenser being immersed in a detachable oil tank d provided with a rod f which passes through the tube a and is secured to the cover plate by a nut h. The terminal plates k, k<1> are mounted on the cover plate b with rubber or like packing strips n, n<1>, the plate k<1> being provided with an arched extension k<4>, Fig. 3, which covers a vent hole b<5> in the cover plate. The oil tank d engages a rubber ring c mounted in a groove in the cover plate. The terminal plates k, k<1> are provided with screwed pins k<2>, k<3> which may be secured to conducting bars o, o<1>, Fig. 6, when a number of condensers are assembled in a frame.
