Abstract

247,153. Renault, L. Feb. 5, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-Mixture from a carburettor provided with a hand or governor controlled throttle is drawn by the engine suction through a conduit 3, controlled by a valve 4, into a cup 5 situated in the head of the cylinder. The fuel in the mixture is stated to condense in the cup, and is ignited by the heat of compression. The valve 4 is opened either mechanically or by suction. In the case of a multi-cylinder engine, a carburettor may be provided for each cylinder, the throttle valves being interconnected, or a single carburettor may supply each cylinder in succession.
