Direct air pressure apparatus, automatic; systems.-In a pneumatic ejector for raising liquids, comprising inlet and outlet valves c, e for the liquid, and inlet and exhaust valves j, k for the compressed air, means are provided for aerating the discharged liquid, as by an air pipe m connecting the interior of the chamber a to the discharge pipe f, so that part of the compressed air passes to the pipe f through a nan-raturn, valves o during discharge. In another arrangement, the compressed air enters the lower portion of the chamber a through the dotted pipe p, part entering the discharge pipe and part bubbling up through the liquid, and the exhaust passes through a, pipe t with non-return valve t<1>.
