Abstract
208,540. MauclÞre, P. A. P. V. Dec. 14, 1922, [Convention date]. Addition to 173,778. Direct air-pressure apparatus, automatic and non - automatic; valves for pressure fluid, actuation and arrangement of; valves for liquid, arrangement of.-In liquid-forcing apparatus of the kind described in the parent Specification, in which the chambers 2<a>, 2<b> are alternatively filled and discharged, each chamber is connected to a suction pipe 5 during filling and to a compressed-air pipe 4 during discharge, by means of a handoperated rotary valve 78. When the chamber is filled, a floatoperated valve 50 cuts off the chamber from the suction connection, and the valve 78 is then turned to connect the air pipe 4 to the chamber. At the end of the discharge, a float-controlled valve 71<a> or 71<b> closes the liquid port at the bottom of the chamber. The liquid enters the chambers through a pipe 3 and valves 56<a>, 56<b>, and is discharged through pipes 59<a>, 59<b> and valves 57<a>, 57<b> to the delivery pipe 27, which may have a stop valve 27a and an anti-drip valve 79. Several pains of chambers may be connected to a common system of liquid and air pipes. Specification 204,725 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the statement that the valve 78 may be operated automatically. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
