Abstract
318,941. Exley, W. H. June 12, 1928. Direct air-pressure apparatus, automatic; valves for pressure fluid, arrangement of. - Apparatus for raising acids &c. comprises two chambers 1, 2, provided with inlet valves 3, 4 and delivery pipe 9, 10 for the liquid. Compressed air &c. is admitted alternately to the two chambers from a pipe 16 by a valve 18, which, in one position, connects one chamber to the air pipe 16 by a pipe 12 or 13, and the other chamber to atmosphere or other source of low pressure through slots 21 or 22 in the valve stem 19, 20. The pipes 9, 10, 11 may open into a valve chamber containing a throw over valve. The valve 18 may be operated mechanically.
