241,826. Fahnenschmidt, H. May 18, 1925. Hinge and swivelling joints.-A joint between the outlet 2 of a wash basin &c. 7 and the pipe 3 leading to the syphon 4 is secured by means of a nut 1 adapted to be screwed onto the pipe 2 so as to force a ball-like joint flange 8 on the pipe 3 against a corresponding cavity on the end of said pipe 2. An adjustable insertion ring 5 having a wedge-shaped flange at its upper end is provided between an inwardly directed flange on the nut 1 and the flange 8 of the pipe 3, the lower surface of said flange 8 being of wedgeshape corresponding to the insertion ring 5.
