Abstract
583,568. Flushing waste pipes. TSAFANDAKIS, M. Nov. 2, 1944, No. 21446. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 10, 1945]. [Class 99 (ii)] In a device for flushing waste outlet pipes of baths, sinks &c. comprising a force pump having a barrel 1 the open end of which is adapted to be placed over the outlet and provided with a sealing ring:4, the ring has a convex surface for engaging the outlet. The sealing ring is secured against the convex surface of the end plug 2 by a ring 5 and screws 6. The sealing ring may be of cup form adapted to grip elastically a lip 9, Fig. 2 on the barrel or plug. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that a collar 8, Fig. 1 (Cancelled) is provided on the barrel for use as a hand grip, and holes 7 in the collar may be used for holding tapered wooden plugs adapted to stop holes in an overflow outlet. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
