Windings; commutating poles and windings. - A continuous - current dynamo-electric machine provided with commutating poles has two separate armature windings of different pitches, the winding 3 exciting one set of alternate commutating poles 5 and the winding 4 exciting the other set of poles 6. In this way both teeth 7 under a pair of commutating poles of opposite polarity are embraced by the winding 3 only so that a better balance, of the currents is obtained when the two armature windings are connected in parallel.
