234,880. Drey, Simpson, & Co., Ltd., Drey, O., and Byrd, H. L. Feb. 28, 1924. Folding transvenely.-In a pendulum folding or pleating device for use in machines for cutting the pile of weft pile fabrics and of the kind in which the fabric, is fed between a driven roller 28 fixed on swing arms 29 and a driven roller 30 movable towards the fixed roller, the movable roller is mounted in links 31 pivoted at 32 on the swing arms out of line with the centre 33 of oscillation of the arms and the pivots 34 of the roller, so that the actions of gravity and centrifugal force tend to press the movable roller towards the fixed roller. Springs 35 are provided as usual to assist in holding the movable roller against the fixed roller. The rollers are driven by a belt 39 passing over pairs of idle rollers 40, 42.
