Abstract
642,785. Loom temples and take-up motions. BROADBENT, J. Jan. 30, 1948, No. 2754. [Class 142(ii)] In a loom having one or more pairs of rubber or rubber covered rollers at each side of the loom for taking up and stretching the fabric laterally, one roller of each pair of rollers is driven at a speed corresponding to the rate of travel of the cloth and the other roller is spring loaded into contact with the cloth. Independently adjustable springs 8, 9 apply pressure at each end of the spring loaded roller. The rollers 1, 2 supported in bearings 5, 6 are mounted in a U-shaped bracket 7. The driven roller is rotated by a belt or chain drive.
