Abstract

226,054. Tonks, W. H., and Sparks, W. Jan. 17, 1924. Stays.-In a combined stay-box and fastener for casements the. bar is adapted, when in its pendant position, to have a locking engagement with a catch element secured to or formed integral with the stay-box attachment member. The device is shown as applied to the combined stay and fastener described in Specification 212,116, in which the stay-bar e has a ball f, the connecting pin d of which has movement in a slot c of the attachment member b. When the bar is disengaged from the hook i and turned down over the bracket g with the window in the closed position, the hook-like member g<3> on the attachment member b snaps into engagement with the slot g<2> in the bar.
