Abstract

224,597. Caparros, R. Aug. 14, 1923. Multiple - filament lamps of the screwcap type have the screw-thread formed in a metal sleeve b revoluble upon the rigid cap 6 and held against axial movement thereon by a nut 16, the leading-in wires being connected to plunger contacts 8 in the cap which may be brought selectively into contact with the sleeve b, to light the corresponding filaments, by rotating the bulb within the sleeve. An insulating washer 11, Fig. 6, is placed under the closed end of the sleeve b, an aperture 13 in the washer permitting one contact 8 only to pass through and contact with the sleeve and an aperture 12 permitting two or more to do so.
