Abstract

Plug couplings; two-part couplings; binding-posts.-A socket terminal to be fitted to a panel and receive the end of a telephone lead &c. comprises a socket a having a shoulder b and securing nut c, and adjacent the inner end of the socket a pair of spring arms d that make contact with the end h of a lead inserted in the socket. The socket may be formed with an internal shoulder k to coact with a plug that is reduced in diameter at the end. The arms d may be secured by being made in one with a washer e that fits around the socket, and a lateral connection may be provided on the washer for the soldering on of a wire. A coloured disc m may be secured beneath the shoulder b to correspond with a coloured sleeve l on the lead.
