Abstract

222,915. Schroeder, F. W. June 9, 1923. Locking nuts.-Relates to nut-locking devices of the kind described in Specification 156,918, wherein the nut is provided with a conical recess 3 in its base into which the inner flange 6 of a soft metal washer is screwed home, and consists in providing a series of recesses 2 in the sides and base of the nut, into at least two of which portions of the outer flange 7 of the washer are forced by a tool. By this means the nut and washer can be unscrewed simultaneously.
