Locking nuts.-A lock-nut of the type comprising two parts which are divided by an inclined plane so that a locking action is brought about by relative rotation of the parts, comprises two parts 1, 2 separated by a plane inclined at an angle a which is situated between extensions from the parts 1, 2 which separate the outer surfaces of the two parts of the nut. The angle a is greater than the angle subtended by a complete thread on the bolt. The two parts of the lock-nut may be lightly soldered together to facilitate cutting the screwthread and screwing on the bolt.
