Abstract
217,148. Faller, J., and Lapidus, I. Dec. 15, 1923. Breech actions, revolving-chamber.-A revolver adapted to be held in the palm of the hand with the barrel projecting between the fingers, is operated by a laterally sliding trigger mounted in front of the rotating chamber drum so as to be operable by the thumb. As shown, the trigger 20 has a sprung pawl 21 adapted to engage one of the chambers 15 so that, when the trigger is pressed in, the drum is rotated to bring the next chamber into alignment with the barrel 13. Retrograde rotation is prevented by a spring stop 31. The firing pin 29 is carried by a spring-pressed lever 26 having at the bottom a lateral projection 25 co-operating with the chambers so that the lever is first pushed back and then released.
