Abstract

212,884. Gerardin, P. G., and Biet, G. March 16, 1923, [Convention date]. Addition to 200,086. Cam-actuated pumps.-The devices described in the parent Specification are modified by the provision of means for varying the inclination of the swash-plate, the invention being described as applied to an hydraulic variable-speed gear. The swash-plate may be controlled automatically by a piston subject to the working pressure, or by a longitudinally adjustable wedge, member 32, Fig. 1, acting on a roller 31 carried by the plate, the member 32 being movable through connections from a screwed rod 36. The motor shown in Fig. 3 has a non- adjustable swash-plate, and is reversed by reversing the setting of its rotary distributing valve 51r by means of a control rod 60 having projections engaging straight and helical recesses in the motor shaft and valve respectively. Relief valves 62 are provided.
