Braking; flexible transmitters.-Brakes of the kind usually provided on the rear road wheels are applied to the steering wheels the cam lever d of the brake being operated by a cable n passing round a pulley l the axis of which may be fixed in any position in a slot in the front axle g. When the pulley is placed coaxially with the steering pivot the brakes are not affecting by steering movements, but by moving the pulley to other positions in the slot the braking effect on the inner wheel on a curve may be made either greats or less than that on the outer wheel. The brake cable is guided by a pulley o mounted on the vehicle frame h, and may be provided with an elastic portion between the pulleys to take up slack.
