Abstract

386,040. Brakes for perambulators &c. LINES, W., Tri-ang Works, Morden Road, Merton, London. Sept. 11, 1931, No. 25472. [Class 103 (i).] A brake for perambulators and like vehicles comprises a shoe-lever a having spring-controlled play on its fulcrum a<2> on a bracket b which is provided with a gate d with which the lever is engaged by the thrust of the control spring e. The end b<3> of the bracket b is bent over to form a stop between bent over ends of the gate d which determine the " on " and " off " positions of the brake lever. The bracket b is secured to a vehicle spring by a U-shaped clamp c, in which the bracket is laterally adjustable. The lever a carries a brake shoe a<1> adapted to engage the tyre of the vehicle wheel.
