Valves; valve gear.-The return movement of a cam-operated valve S is effected by the pressure of air compressed by a piston P which moves downward in a cylinder G<1> as the valve opens, the cylinder being supplied through ports O with air under constant pressure by an air compressor driven by the engine and connected to the ports O by passages not shown. According to the Spenification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), the ports O open, as shown, directly into the atmosphere. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
