Combing-machines.-The weighting of the detaching-rollers is so arranged that the weighting of all the rollers can be relieved at one operation. The back detaching-rollers 1 are weighted by a pivoted arm 5 and an arm 3 with a hook 3a. The front detaching-rollers 2 are weighted by a weight 9 connected to a rod 10 suspended from the saddle 11. The arm 3 is pivoted to the arm 5, and the pivot pin 4 carries a lever 12 with a handle 12b. When the handle is raised, the end 12<a> of the lever engages the framework and the arm 3 is raised. A projection 3b on the arm then engages a suitable projection 10<a> on the rod 10, and raises the weight 9. The arm 3 may be provided with a flat surface to engage the cylinder shaft 3 and assist in guiding the arm, and the rod 10 may be cranked to avoid the framing carrying the detaching-rollers.
